I’m glad Max Richter included an instrumental version of this, as I don’t like my soundtracks lecturing me on woke BLM political garbage. I’ll be deleting CD1, & would have lost respect if CD2 wasn’t included. I’ll try to forget I ever listened to CD1 & enjoy the little bit of good music we do have on CD2. Thanks.
Thank you for that information. It just must be a complete coincidence that it’s been released now then, & absolutely nothing whatsoever to do with BLM. Not that I care. I simply hate talking over otherwise good soundtracks (which is quite a reasonable point of view) & especially when it’s political. I’m here to listen to the amazing Max Richter, not have history lessons.

Funnily enough you came back here two days after your hateful spit to see if it started a fire. It did. Happy now? So who’s REALLY trolling here? I bet you’ll visit this forum again. F*** that, I’m not playing your game any longer.
Haha. Look who’s talking! You’re back again. Talk about hypocritical! ‘Hateful spit’? What I said wasn’t hateful, so you are obviously one of these people who get triggered by anything & make massive mountains out of tiny mole hills. This is the comments section, for comments about the music (which is what I did), not swearing & “starting a fire” (which you did). So, stop swearing, stop being so angry over nothing, & stop wasting everyone’s time.
Just my tuppence: I don’t think ‘woke BLM political garbage’ is a comment about the music. It’s pretty derogatory, too. And the Universal Declaration of Human Rights has ‘nothing to do with BLM’? So you don’t consider Black people to be human, mate?
@snowpiercer. Why are you continue to troll? Your last sentence. What a ridiculous inference that anyone with a brain wouldn’t have made. You either didn’t correctly read what I said or don’t have the intelligence to understand it. ‘nothing to do with BLM’….That was what’s called sarcasm, mate. “woke BLM political garbage” admittedly isn’t the most eloquent of expressions, but it is a comment on the music, as that is an indication of what is included within the tracks. So, apart from being overly upset about my calling the ruination of this music via politicization garbage, you don’t really have any valid points. Naturally, everyone has their opinions though, & I will accept that what I think is garbage is your gospel.
You claim Max Richter is your favourite artist, yet you know surprisingly little of your idol’s work. A simple Internet search (apparently too complicated for you) reveals what MR intended with this recording: “I like the idea of a piece of music as a place to think, and it is clear we all have some thinking to do at the moment. We live in a hugely challenging time and, looking around at the world we have made, it’s easy to feel hopeless or angry. But, just as the problems we face are of our own making, so their solutions are within our reach, and the Universal Declaration of Human Rights is something that offers us a way forward. Although it isn’t a perfect document, the declaration does represent an inspiring vision for the possibility of a better and kinder world.” (from: variety.com) Every profound/ambitious piece of art is not just entertainment, it also contains an important message but you don’t have a brain or the intelligence to understand it. Serious art is supposed to make you think but you don’t like to think. Human rights, BLM – it doesn’t matter, it’ all ‘political garbage’ to you. All you want is a nice, ear-friendly muzak to listen to while fixing your socks, cleaning toilet or whatever it is you do for fun. You think composers should compose, writers write, actors act and not engage themselves in ‘political garbage’. You can’t comprehend that art created in a cultural vacuum, without references to our world is meaningless and empty as the vacuum. Besides artists have the right to tell about the world and how they see it. You don’t like to be ‘lectured’ or ‘have history lessons’ with your favourite music so you’re not the right audience for MR’s work because clearly he’d like to make his fans think about disturbing events happening in the world. Your ridiculous rants about ‘ruining’ this music show that you don’t respect the artist or his work. Ignorance and contempt are your ‘gospels’, mate. If you prefer mindless muzak try something less challenging for your brain like… I don’t know… elevator music? Justin Bieber? Granted no lecturing, no history lessons whatsoever, no need to use your brain at all. Easy on your ears, easy on your mind – you can comfortably keep contemplating emptiness in your head 🙂
PS. Why don’t you write to Max Richter on his website to tell him he should stick to composing and leave the ‘political garbage’ out? See if he responds :))

Thank you for sharing. Disregarding the message behind this piece, I think the music itself is not one of Richter’s strongest. IMHO.
@snowpiercer Didn’t have a reply button for your comment (wonder why?), so will write mine here. Mate, sure, artists can do what they want. & if Mr. Richter wants to include a message to the masses, it’s his prerogative. I just don’t want to hear it in this particular case (& I can guarantee I’m not the only one), thus I will listen to CD2 & you can listen to CD1. So, well done him for including both, huh? Perhaps that’s EXACTLY why he did include an instrumental version. I’m sure he’d concur if you asked him. I don’t need to do a simple search on Mr. Richter. I have every bit of music he’s ever done, so I guess that trumps your little search for this comments section. Yes, I’m interested in his amazing music, & by saying all music (or piece of art) has to have an important message otherwise it’s meaningless & empty is willfully ignorant; that would make every other of Max Richter’s songs worthless in your eyes, as well as every instrumental piece ever recorded. Perhaps you should stop listening to it all & stick to U2 or something. You don’t need to know the ‘important message’ behind anything to enjoy it (art/photography), although sometimes it may help appreciate it, granted. Don’t make everything simply black & white as it is in your head. This will be my last post, as I’ve wasted enough time pointlessly reply to easily triggered self-righteous trolls. I think I’ve made myself quite clear to anyone who has read this page & people are free to agree or disagree. It doesn’t matter & I don’t care. & don’t troll that other person either. Just let things you don’t agree with slide for once. It really does improve your mental health to do so. Speaking of which, I’m off to listen to something really uplifting, contemplative & inspiring & that definitely doesn’t have a political message to it. I think the majority of people have had enough of politics, so I’ll keep them out of my music, thanks. That’s just me though. There are other, more meaningful & enjoyable things in life.
‘Didn’t have a reply button for your comment (wonder why?)’ – it’s called conspiracy, mate 😉 Or better yet: a BLM conspiracy 😀 But you knew it right from the beginning, didn’t you? 😉 So let’s take a look at some of your ignorant replies, shall we? ‘I don’t need to do a simple search on Mr. Richter. I have every bit of music he’s ever done’ – yeah, all downloaded for free from this site, so that clearly makes you an expert on his work, lol. And please don’t do a search on Richter; in fact don’t do any search on any given subject – you might learn something new and that would inevitably shatter your fragile mind. ‘by saying all music (or piece of art) has to have an important message otherwise it’s meaningless & empty is willfully ignorant; that would make every other of Max Richter’s songs worthless in your eyes, as well as every instrumental piece ever recorded’ – no, it wouldn’t. Music doesn’t have to contain any lyrics to have a message (e.g. Penderecki’s Threnody for the Victims of Hiroshima). And I’ve never said that you have to know the message to enjoy the music, so don’t twist my words. ‘Don’t make everything simply black & white as it is in your head.’ – your second post on this forum says ‘BLM political garbage’, even though this music is about the Universal Declaration of Human Rights. But too bad for the music: Mr. Joe Nobody from the Internet said it’s ‘BLM political garbage’, so it must be ‘BLM political garbage’ and nothing else (probably because the George Floyd story and its repercussions were still all over the news). Don’t tell me you can see more than black and white, mate. Again from your 2nd comment: ‘I’ll be deleting CD1, & would have lost respect if CD2 wasn’t included. I’ll try to forget I ever listened to CD1 & enjoy the little bit of good music we do have on CD2.’ Written in that pathetic self-opinionated tone like it’s pearls of wisdom you’re giving us, the unworthy people – that comment made me laugh 🙂 You didn’t even pay for this music, Mr. Freeloader! If you did, the comment would mean something but as it is it’s preposterous. You’d have lost respect for Richter? (like he even cares, lol) Like you lost respect for all the people that don’t conform to your narrow-minded views?

THANKS SO VERY MUCH!!!!!
Dunno what this is, & it’s very short, but more Max Richter…? Err… yes please!!!! My favourite.
Cheers.
Thanks!!

I don’t give a good godd*** f*** what you like or not, what you listen to or delete. Go back to your cave and stay there.
Funnily enough though, you gave enough ‘good godd*** f***’s to write a reply though, didn’t you?
I was informing. You are simply trolling.
It’s inspired by the Universal Declaration of Human Rights in 1948. Nothing to do with BLM.
Thank you for that information.

Gratidão, compartilhar essa beleza é sensacional. Quando escuto o trabalho de Max Richter sei que estou me “nutrindo” de vida!
