“Rooms” is like a jazz-opera, from a time, when jazz was genuine, vivid and at it’s height. Just think about the many talented jazz-musicians that were active in the 50s and 60s, the many totally jazzy movie soundtracks. “Rooms” is elaborate, moody, performative, not easily accessible, demanding; there’s not the “swing” of 60s crooners. A reference work imo. Thanks for sharing.
