OK, this was made in the mid 60ies, so it shouldn’t surprise, that what they call “symphony” is typical 60ies experimental and highly dramatic soundscape like they did for “Planet of the Apes” for instance and various fashionable spy-movies and tv-shows. Although I wouldn’t initially associate the music as an “African” soundtrack, it sure has it’s captivating, interesting moments – but it’s a demanding listening experience and certainly not for a relaxing afternoon, just saying.
