The film itself is only 4 hours and 5 minutes.
This is the complete score that is off itunes and Tom himself has been promoting.
How the total OST would be larger than the actual movie which is of 4 hours and 2 minutes (with credits)?

Thanks. This film is a bit of a misnomer in that it is a Directors Cut type thing which I am not always in favour of due to the mauling that Scott did to Blade Runner repeatedly, I still prefer the original theatrical cut, but due to the circumstances of the leaving of theis films by Snyder, which I do sympathize with, I am still not sure that the mess he made that Joss Whedon had to fix was worth its being fixed again even if by the original director. I really do not know what to make of DC’s film arm. They simply do not get the idea that there should b some humour in the final film or risk it becoming totally depressing and I just do not watch films to be depressed by dark grungy rubbish all the time. Nor does many other audience members I suspect. Time DC realized that Marvel uses the lighter tone to make the films more enjoyable while still getting the dramatic point across. Its what the British film and TV industry has been doing forever, and its what made all the great films great. Unrelenting depressing darkness just doesn’t work. I suspect I won’t much like this OST because of the type of rubbish OST DC has in their films of late. The only one that really worked was Wonder Woman with the great Tina G theme. Now that is a distinctive theme.
The movie is more comedic than you may think. Most of the Flash’s humor was from Snyder apparently. Interactions between Alfred and everyone are funny, and Superman is hopeful. Give it a try.
That may be true of superhero movies, but to pin that on all movies and moviegoers is doing a disservice to the artform. Besides, DC fans have been tired of Marvel’s jaunty, glib tone and can take lightness and darkness in equal measure… or at least they keep incessantly whining about it online, so Warners gave them what they thought they needed.
Everyone else is praising the soundtrack and you are just being snarky. The score was amazing and really added up and enhanced the impact of the scenes for example the flash tapping in to the speedforce. Also you are in the minority according to your viewpoint on this OST and the Autumn tribute, nobody suffered from this music. The only problem most people had was the repetitiveness of the wonder woman theme.
The SnyderCut is NOT a director’s cut, only an ignorant would actually say that. It’s the one and only ORIGINAL vision of Snyder come to life.

Seems to me it’s just the score, repeated. The run time x2 = 7hrs 48 or so, so i dare say it’s just the score repeated twice.
I stand to be corrected but that all it seems to be.
For Those who want to know, the actual length of the music in the film is three hours and fifty-four minutes. Also Allison Crowe’s cover of the Leonard Cohen song “Hallelujah” is perhaps the worst thing I have heard in a long time. Really this woman has no right to be anywhere near a microphone. Pity of it is that this track is supposed to be a tribute to Zack Snyders Daughter who killed herself. Terrible thing, but there is not need to make us all suffer for it. Oh yeah, and don’t adjust your TV sets, this film is actually filmed in 4to3 aspect ratio, or to put it more accurately 1to33to1, which is the format of IMAX screens, which is something this will not really get to be, and is in fact an outdated format that is apparently a current fad… go figure (and just as my olf 4to3 moniter died too.).
Also, despite the IMAX or Old TV aspect ratio, it was not filmed on IMAX camera’s because they actually do not have sound. And Snyder deliberately put in film grain and relics to make it more old fashioned, and has plans to release it in Black and White some time soon.
Snyder did shoot JL with FILM.
