Hope you enjoy! Rinzler-MIX2 is my personal favourite as you can hear more of the orchestral elements coming through the heavy percussion. Oatlands, Part II mixes have some nice new additions, too!
Outlands, Part II*
Could you explain the process with these remixes? They’re titled stems but it sounds like all tracks are up in each version. Was hoping for some separation and removal between cues. It feels more like each version has a variation of equalization and compression applied. Thanks!
So, I separate the og music file and then overlay whatever the software gives me from that file. I then have to master the stems to mix together nicely and then amplify the final mix and then export it afterwards. So, you’ll have alternate versions of the og track. One will be heavier bass or more orchestration elements, etc. No compression or equalization of any kind is applied, as this will decrease the audio quality.
The mixes do sound like a different sampling of balance from one to the next. Heavier, softer at times etc. Thanks for the clarification. Would be neat in later versions to hear a percussion version only or string elements only depending on the cue and what’s available in the separation. Thanks!
How many versions of this album are there?! Is there a definitive one? The score isn’t THAT great!
There are a LOT of albums. Some of them official audio and other’s are bootlegs.
You seem to have a bunch of albums I like done in this fashion.
