Thank you admin. Appreciate the early share of this soundtrack. Looking forward to hear this one from Nine Inch Nails and to see the movie in October. Cheers 🙂
Can someone tell me if this is all/mostly songs, or instrumental music? I know there is at least one vocal, “As Alive as You Need Me to Be,” but I’m hoping for a lot of instrumental tracks like Daft Punk’s work on Tron: Legacy.
Hello Admin. Recently got The ERR_SSL_PROTOCOL_ERROR on Hotlink. It would go through the countdown no problem but then I go to download the file it pops open another page containing that error.
Thank you admin for the soundtrack! For those of you waiting to listen to it and compare it to TRON:Legacy’s soundtrack— prepare to be SEVERELY disappointed. Sure it sounds like an 80’s soundtrack score, but a very FORGETTABLE 80’s score. No bangers on this one, none that feel like they need to be played on repeat… Disney really screwed the pooch by pissing off Daft Punk. This score does not meet the metric of the prior 2 film scores from this franchise.
Agree with Balerophon. There are tiny snippets of potential and I really wish NIN explored and developed. Gonna have to hear what it’s like in the movie itself, but it feels almost like it’s missing action cues maybe. The techno stuff in this has moments that I could believe would be great if really pushed, but the presentation on this is lackluster at best.
Well, Balerophon, Daft Punk also split up in 2021, so it’s unlikely Disney pissing them off (did they?) would have any bearing on NIN taking over scoring duties on a 2025 film.
Oh no! Daft Punk split up?! And no band EVER has gotten back together again for a really important or gross money making album!
Certainly not any bands like The Misfits, or Guns N’ Roses, or The Police, or The Grateful Dead, or The Spice Girls, or Velvet Underground, or The Who, or The Cars, or Sex Pistols, or Outkast, or Led Zeppelin, or Fallout Boy, or Cream, or Blondie, Or BLINK-182, or this little known band no ones ever heard of— like one called THE BEATLES. Unheard of! Never happened in the entire history of music!
You mean to tell me that, had Disney not pissed off the two french robots¹, that they WOULDN’T have come back for a sequel album? The sequel to one of the greatest, bestselling albums of the 2010’s? Really? Even if “Daft Punk” is broken up, it’s not like they couldn’t hire Thomas Bangalter or Guy-Manuel de Homem-Christo as individual artists and given them an embarrassing amount of money for an “under the radar” Daft Punk album.
In the end—regardless of whatever fictitious situation involving the band formerly known as Daft Punk—The TRON:ARES score is quite lackluster, and not even the best film score Trent Reznor has produced, which is saying something…
¹ – Yes “soundtrackman”, they did so by getting greedy and releasing the ‘Tron: Legacy R3CONFIGUR3D’ remix album, which Daft Punk did not approve the remix artists for and were rather upset that they had no involvement whatsoever in its production with their music
@balerophon and you’re 100% sure that disney didnt ask daft punk or both of them individually about a sequel soundtrack and threw a heap of money at them and they said “not interested”
it would have been the first thing disney did they did nothing to piss off daft punk.

Didn’t Daft Punk break up years ago?
