Dammit, I had no idea that such a score exist. Have to download it, thanks!
THX!!!
Folks disc two has been known but posted for along long time.Have gotta a few but always a fake or re-hash of the Humanity Theme. : ( hope this is the really deal. http://plissken.free.fr/ is one of 3 major Soundtrack Cover sites, you can find HQ cover art there. & http://lostscores-pagemaster.blogspot.com/ very good HQ Soundtrack cover art!
Thanks for the posting I have bugged you so much about this & its counterpart Marco Beltrami’s Complete Score for The THING prequel! Does Mr.Julian have That One?
Thanks a lot for the total new collection ! I knew there was more to The Thing score but never got such a great opportunity to discover it like this. This evening I will have a such a good time listening to the entire OST.
Yes This is just AWESOME. the OST & the Newly Re-Recording by Alan Howarth makes You really really appericate the music
alone. We all Love the film score so so much, but once you’ve heard the OST as how it was suppose to be in the film you see were John Carpenter butchered & merged, and repeated the music to fit the film.
Thanks… Procurei muito essa trilha sonora !
Can anyone tell me what is this? I mean not that I’m complaining, but I’m googling and googling and I can’t find any information about this release. I already have an original OST, bootleg 2CD complete score and the Re-recording but this is something new. Any piece of information would be appreciated.
Thanks !! Estava faltando em minha coleção…
Hi, Just saw this in the theater last night! so cool. Please reup! THANKS!!!
Michael
THANK YOU SOOOOOOOO MUCH!!!! 🙂
Can you re-upload this soundtrack, please ? Thank you.
Three composers or conductors?
this is a combination of 2 different sources.
Disc 1 is the Alan Howarth/Larry Hopkins 2015 re-recording of the music (16 tracks) – check the amazon listing here:
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B005YRBUN0?pf_rd_p=ab873d20-a0ca-439b-ac45-cd78f07a84d8&pf_rd_r=G51WYKJHNHKPFTX4SV1Y
Disc 2 is an audio rip from the soundtrack. The song indexes reflect the chapters on the source dvd or blu ray
DISC 1 is made up of cues from the original Varese Sarabande album composed by Ennio Morricone and cues from the Alan Howarth re-recording.
DISC 2 is not ripped from the film. It is a careful re-edit of all available cues to match the film as closely as possible. Dialogue was taken from the film and paired up with songs for context but those songs were also taken from original sources.
I should know. I’m the one who made this album which fans have uploaded to YouTube. If you have been listening to this link wondering where the original source was from? It’s from this dual disc set.

Thank you and Julian!

Love the work of all that is involved. Big thanks as usual 🙂
Great work, especially on the 2nd Disc. Really liked how the vocal track transitioned on Superstition. Guy knew what he was doing
Is this available in Flac at all? Think I found it being shared someplace else but there are no seeds. Thanks
