Thanks for this “forgot” John Barry
I love John Barry. One of the most inspired and inspiring composers.
Love his cold melodies and orchestral strings.
One of my great aunts (Rip to her, passed away a few weeks ago) told me she had gone to a ball theatre in York in the fifties I believe, she’d be in her twenties.
She said John Barry was playing there, jazz it seems.
She said he was super good looking and handsome.
What a legend !
Oh yeah, incidentally love Omar Sharif.
David Lean’s Lawrence of Arabia was his first big role.
Then the Epic Doctor Jivago another David Lean movie.
Just loved the dude in “le casse” with Belmondo where he plays inspector Zacharias. A resilient cop.
Omar was a gentleman.
He lost alot of money at poker also !
One of the greats.
Thanks for the share. Another Barry from one of his prime periods. Thanks again.
I noticed the track list is incorrect… In fact ther’s only 30 cues. The 27th is missing or it just don’t exist.
I this there’s just a mistake with the track listing, nothing missing.
Fantastic Neil….another great addition to the site…….many Thanks
