That’s how it goes! Thanks for downloading. I knew that Charles was one of the composers on this project, but I wasn’t sure if he had composed anything. And even more so to hope that his material will be officially released. Miracles happen!! I’ve always been very curious about Bernstein’s approach to the film. It’s very cool to evaluate and compare the music of two worthy composers.
From IMDB: “Three different scores were composed and rejected during post production. The first was by percussionist Babatunde Olatunji, who had never done a score before. His score was replaced with new one by Jeff Koz and Jesse Frederick, but because filmmakers liked the feel of Olatunji’s score they based theirs on it as well. They were replaced by Charles Bernstein, whose score was similar to previous one. When his score was rejected, they finally went with one by Brad Fiedel.” (Even though, some of Olatunji’s music is featured in the film accordingly with the end credits: “Special Percussion Tracks by Babatunde Olatunji”) Nice if we can find them all! Cheers and thank you for this wonderful share.
