Thank you. I looked up what is the difference between all these different versions of the soundtrack (and why I might want this if I already have a 4hour “Ultimate Edition”
“If you just want the actual music heard in the film, the 2013 The Keep Original Soundtrack, the Complete Recordings – 30th Anniversary Edition (Restoration Project) is by far the most complete version, includes every music cue heard in the film, and is probably far better and longer than what any official release of the film music would have included. It is on par with the quality of the Blade Runner Esper Edition bootleg and the stellar Blade Runner EMS Recombination bootlegs. I had a hand in cleaning up and mixing that version, as well as doing the cover art. The Keep: An Alternative View (from the semi authorized Tangerine Tree series) is also another good compilation of just the film music, but is incomplete. If you are looking for all of the related music, The Keep Ultimate Edition ( Buster Cat Productions) bootleg is probably the most complete compilation, although very repetitive. It includes some music from the film (not all), alternate versions, and music created for the film but not used. Note that it also includes music from Tangerine Dreams official releases.”
I don’t think I’m able to post links in these comments, but just do a google search for the above quote to see the source.
Off subject but you seem pretty knowledgeable about scores and bootlegs. I was wondering if you might know where one could get the complete score to The Adventures of Ford Fairlane by Yello ? I’m fan of this group and I’ve been trying to hunt it down for years.
Thank you Bob but I prob don’t know half as much the people who run and regularly contribute on this site 🙂
But best I can tell, there’s not a bootleg soundtrack for Adventures of Ford Fairlane. I see nossing.
There’s a forum discussion about this on Film Score Monthly that you can probably find with a search – started in August 2009 by user Thor. Do a google for Yello Fairlane FSM.
The main takeaways I saw from that thread are that Fox owns it and the rights were too complicated for La La Land distributor to put it out. And the best we seem to have is Yello’s Baby album which someone said contains a lot of the music from that movie but mixed a bit differently.
Thanks for the information. I actually have Yello’s Baby album and it’s … Ok. It has a few pieces from the movie but over all it’s not the same. Maybe one day Fox will work it’s rights issue out and see there’s market for this score.
Thanks again for looking.
Thank you

Thank you!!
Why is the 27th (bonus) track missing? I see only up to track 26 on CD2? Anybody know?
I’m unable to download the FLAC files. I get a timeout error. Anyone else having this issue?
