Thanks for sharing this, was totally surprised to see the FYC so soon , especially with the Original Soundtrack Album not being released until December 20th! I will get the Original Soundtrack Album to go with all the others I have bought . I will go see the film as well to finish the Trilogy, I just hope its better then the last film it was ok but I don’t know just did not thrill me as much as all the others, I am not saying its bad, just was kind of like it was a long drawn out space ship chase with almost all the Resistance being slowly blown up! Thanks again!
Thank you very much for this. A surprise. Unfortunately, just as with the previous one, I am so disapointed… The music isn’t bad. Not at all. It just misses something. Just as with The Last Jedi. It just sounds like a re-use of old music. Old themes re-used and arranged for background music. Where are all the magistral themes we were used to ear on the saga? Even the prequels had better music. This is just… empty 🙁 John Williams is almost 90, I understand this. But this score as well as the previous one seriously lacks of imagination. No new material, no new theme. Enjoyable to listen to Star Wars’ John Williams scores but… I feel like I’m listening to the other star wars movies and this minus the great themes. I hope the full version will cointain more new themes but I doubt it.
I’ve spent sometime listening to this, i’m unconvinced that its real. The soundtrack is missing something, can’t put my finger on it. A recent interview regarding the score said John Williams was building in all of theme’s from the last eight movies, there’s barely anything there, plus its so far away from any star wars score that i feel its not the score….
So folks, this is a tease basically, only for the academy, it’s not all of it, even the Star Wars Main Theme isn’t there, but there are probaly some tracks here that won’t be on the Album release.
Disney put this online for just a day (at this same 192k quality) and took it off. Just like que previous FYC Star Wars scores, it misses the main and end credits. The album will have more music but some of the cues from this FYC will remain unreleased.
Answering some of the comments: – It’s in 192kbps because that’s how Disney chose to publish it on their awards site; it doesn’t come from a CD. – Yes, it’s real. For a few years now Disney has created a site where, sometimes, you can find scores in their FYC version. Rogue One, Force Awakens, had it as well. – FYC albums are different from the actual score, especially when there is reuse of themes. For instance, the FYC of Rogue One took out most of the quotes of John Williams’ themes. That’s also why this lacks both main titles and end credits. The actual score will probably be quite different from this.
I agree with everyone’s comments here. This does not seem to be the full version of the soundtrack and hopefully there will be a more complete version intended for release next week.
The album was online here: https://www.disneystudiosawards.com/ for about 15 minutes before they discovered that blunder and took it down again. Of course, 15 minutes in internet time are an eternity 🙂 I’m sure this wasn’t supposed to be released BEFORE the official score, which will be quite different from this one, btw. You’ll notice that there are almost no returning themes here. So the FYC concentrates on new, original music (for the Oscar race) and the release most likely will play the nostalgia-card and feature a lot of themes we already know. (Main Titles and End credits are obvious here)
Yep, as a FYC score, this ONLY contains NEW music composed specifically for the film. As that’s what’s actually eligible for an Oscar nom. All previously released/recorded themes are excluded. The final score will be over 2 hours, so that means well over an hour of classic themes. What you hear in the FYC are edited cues.

This is the FYC version, slightly shorter than the original. Many thanks anyway.

Fantastic stuff – thank you! I hate to sound inconsiderate but… any chance of this being available in 320/FLAC, soon?
Hello,
By the way, what means FYC ?

Thank you very much Admin !!
I’m just screaming at work!!!
THANK YOU!
FYC means For Your Consideration
thanx man
Thanks
Georges….For Your Consideration
Playtime: 50:44.. interesting, looks to be the shortest Star Wars runtime!
I don’t it’s real.
Un très grand merci !!!
Thanks for the share. Appreciate your time and your work
Why are so many of the FYC albums I see at 192kbs?
Wow. Thank you very much from my heart.
Williams apparently wrote 135 minutes’ worth of music for The Rise of Skywalker
Not planning on paying to see the movie (after the last abysmal shambles), so might as well not pay for the score either. lol.
Cheers.
Thanks much!!!

Where do you find these FYC soundtracks? I looked all over and found nothing.
Not one mention if anyone liked the score.

I think most FYC versions are put out at lower bit rates to make them less attractive for copying

A Surprise, to be sure, but a welcome one.
William’s best work for years. Tracks 3,14,18,22 and 23 are incredible standouts. Saved the best till last. Thank you, sir.
The digital version comes out tomorrow, December 18 and the physical album comes out on December 20
COOL!!!!
Hey admin. Merry Christmas. Any chance of this one in 320kbps. Would appreciate it. Thanks!.
FLAC is possible? Thanks a lot!
