Thanks… Pity they didn’t include an instrumental copy so we could avoid Sam Smith’s gawds-awful vocals… Really depressing how bad the James Bond Title Themes have been for the past six or so films.
Firstly, thank you to this site for giving me my first chance to hear the track. Here’s my two cents I originally posted (a few minutes ago) at gamespot: “Terrible. Worst bond theme song yet, by far. Worse than the Jack White/Alicia Keys collaboration. Even worse than Madonna’s abysmal “Die Another Day”. Terrible writing, terrible melody, zero hooks or anything memorable except soooo much whining. There’s no whining in a 007 theme song, goddamnit.”
For what its worth, I actually like they Keys/White collaboration “Another Way To Die”… I thought it had a pretty good Bond sound, despite the horrible vocals.
Muse’s “Supremacy” could also pass for a good Bond song!
Yeah, the music in Another Way To Die definitely had the Bond feel but Jack can’t sing and no amount of computer manipulation can fix that -his ego ruined the song. Personally, I thought that Skyfall was the best Bond track since Garbage’s The World Is Not Enough in both a stand-alone sense and with respect to the history of the Bond theme sound.
@Naveed Just gave “Surrender” and “Tomorrow Never Dies” another listen and I definitely think Surrender should have been the main theme song. Awesome track with a very strong Shirley Bassey sound to it. Sheryl Crow was the flavour-of-the-month at the time though.
Sorry to say but i like it, were all entitled to our own opinion, i think its a typical bond theme, which tend to grow on you, i though Skyfall was one of the best bond themes to date with thunderball being my favourite up to then.

Worst Bond theme song since Die Another Day.
I was going to post that I am not a troll, but this is one of the worst Bond songs of all time… looks like I’m in good company though.
I thought Skyfall was an average song and a really dull movie… going by this song, Spectre looks to be a borefest.
not a good song for a 007 movie
I read the instrumental version will be in the Thomas Newman score CD

thanks admin
One of the best overlooked bond songs is KD Langs Surrender from tomorrow never dies. It’s pure Bond !!!
