One of John Williams’ ultimate masterpieces. You can hear his then-upcoming Sith theme in here as well as some of the textures he’d use on Sleepers and other darker films of the era.

I don’t think there are words that would truly do justice to my love for this score. My favorite film of all-time though I’m the first to see its flaws, including the editing issues with John Williams’s score within the film itself – but like the Beatles White Album, NIXON feels like Oliver Stone’s mixed bag of tricks – and I absolutely love it. Purchased the CD of this score upon the week of its release (the Enhanced portion NEVER worked on my computers) and listened to it obsessively. Now having it in digital form is a blessing. Thank you, Download-Soundtracks !!
Me too! This is the ultimate soundtrack because the Main Title perfectly paints the spirit of the late 1960 decade, it’s uncanny! And the End Title is so rare and precious because it sounds like the Universe paying a homily to Nixon, and telling us about his darkness and beauty, mark how it ends, not, as we think, by going back to a bombastic reprise of the Main Title, but in a uncanny Finale of those harmonic unresolved chords
