Is there some reason the tracks are out of order on StarMaker, for example? IS this one worth having?
Any Ennio Morricone Soundtrack is worth having.. This set is a great gift from Diogene, but as I already have all these soundtracks in my collection I am probably being biest… Well done Diogene.
I’d have to agree with you but as much as a genius Morricone was, he’s got one or two scores in the catalog that border on pedestrian. Not knocking Morricone at all, his score to The Mission was the first soundtrack I ever bought and man, I was hooked. I’ve been hooked ever since. I felt the sting of his passing and was in mourning for a good day afterward. This compilation looks interesting, I was mainly curious why some tracks were out of order? Maybe Diogene wants to chime in here…?

You have to ask Admin, for my part the tracks are all working correctly. This is not a compilation, it is about 4 very distinct albums. Morricone didn’t just write masterpieces of course, but he was a hard worker, he wrote about 500 scores, that’s huge! His giallo period is Magnificent ….. In his 4 albums, only “I Magie Randagie” is really worthy of interest, I would post it to Admin en flac in a while …. The rest is nice to listen to, this aimed at collectors, they are hard to find.

On “I Magi Randagi”
The first 14 tracks looks like from the 1996 CAM edition, but sometimes not with the same duration,
as we can see after a search on web (especially on tracks 7 – 13 – 14).
diogene have put 2 additional tracks (15 and 16) as in the 2013 GDM edition.
But on the GDM edition, tracks 15 and 16 are named :
– Le Luci Si Spengono (4:22)
– Serena Allegrezza (5:47)
And so, the same than the tracks 13 and 14!
Here, as i’m not a super expert of Morricone, i’m a little bit lost !
