Thank you very much, OKfiction and Admin !
But what is a “complete restoration” after the others restorations ? Is it possible to add FLAC, please ?
thanks a lot for 320kbps. truly appreciate this lovely score. 320kbps rocks
Hey OKfiction: if I give you your flowers enough, it’s because of time, not because I don’t think that you’re the man. Because don’t doubt it: you’re the man.
Thanks for the share, admin + OKfiction
Thanks for the share
hi covers back track list?
A further restoration? Sounds promising. thanks!
Gracias por compartirla.
Thanks so much! Love this soundtrack.
One of the best Bond scores, and a great call back to the franchise’s golden years. Yeah, a lot of people criticize MR, but it was a time when Bond movies were synonym of fun escapism, before the “sad and gritty” take on the character. Long live Sir Roger!
This is a great album that works well independently of the great movie. A time when ppl were more open minded and could handle something called fun and humour and romance. Love John Barry.
Thanks Admin. It always amazes me how these artists can manage to do new edits of their material from the grave. ๐
I agree that this is one of Barry’s best Bond OST’s although the end title always seemed a little rushed to me. This is very reminiscent of the work he did on “The Black Hole”, and certainly an extension of “You Only Live Twice”. One Track, ‘007’, here called ‘Boat Chase’, is never used anymore, and I do not know why, as it is as much a James Bond Theme as the ‘Dr No’ Theme (better known these days as ‘James Bond Theme’). It is almost like they just do not want to acknowledge John Barry’s significant contributions to this defunct (I do not really consider the Daniel Craig Films as part of the series anymore at all after that horrible last shyte movie) film series.
Admin, can you find Scores for both the original and now cancelled Magnum p.i. series?
The 007 theme, first appeared in From Russia With Love (1963), and last appeared in Moonraker (1979), sadly it has not been used since then.
Thank you very much admin and OKfiction …..possible in Flac ?
The official releases of the 007 scores are some what varied in their extended versions, however Moonraker is not one of them, even through the music is great it’s incomplete, it’s been 40 plus years since the release of Moonraker, it would have been nice if the studio released a complete score to celebrate the movie’s 40 year milestone.
After the runaway success of The Spy Who Loved Me, a film not scored by John Barry,
Moonraker has proved without a doubt one of the most outlandish and certainly a very entertaining adventure of the Roger Moore era of Bond films.
Close, but 16 before 15, and the pyramids ‘paragliding-intro’ shouldn’t have been faded out as he crashes down into the trees. That hardly-noticeable ‘background noise’ should have easily been left in for the pure sake of the hard core listener hearing that full 20-second pyramid intro piece. (that is, considering how the original complete studio tapes apparently got ‘forever lost’ ๐
But all in all, this was a decent effort.
Thank goodness 1979’s “Moonraker” was the first James Bond movie to be released in dolby stereo, eh?
Do you have FLAC please?
Hi Admin,
