1992 was a prolific year for Jerry GOLDSMITH : 6 films of which “Medicine Man”, “Forever young” and especially one of his masterpieces : “Basic instinct”, the only thriller whose music can rival those of Bernard HERRMANN for HITCHCOCK…
This “Love field” is in the average, pleasant to listen to but without any particular enthusiasm. But it is Jerry GOLDSMITH and it is always worth a visit !

The final piano versions are very pleasant too.
Medicine Man and Forever Young certainly stand-out Goldsmith scores for ’92. What else can be said about Basic Instinct other than it is genius. I rather enjoy “Love Field,” certainly better that average, an expanded release is long past due.
