The Lifeforce motion picture score was fully composed and recorded by Henry Mancini.
Hate to say not his best score, but likely there was no budget for another Hatari or Breakfast at Tiffany’s like score.
A score like Breakfast at Tiffany’s…Why would Henry Mancini write a score like that put it in a Space Vampire Movie…You are 100% Clueless!
Henry Mancini wrote a truly excellent score to the Original Version of Lifeforce, before Tobe Hooper and Cannon hack it up. With No time for Henry to rescore.
Great work by the London Symphony Orchestra …soon Lifeforce will be released here this month, the newer version remastered work. Claude you wrote some truly Fail! And do not have a massive clue!
Ooophs. I apologize. I retract my statement. Adding timings were done for the film release and were not part of the original CD release.
Mancini wrote scores and timings for Universal B films like The Creature From the Black Lagoon and others bug films.
He had the music chops, and his Blake Edwards film score s run thought my head – but for me this score is not memorable.
To me, Lifeforce is Mancini’s best score, but I am not into scores like Breakfast at Tifffany’s. I prefer more action-oriented scores. Just shows how tastes differ.
