Hi. Sorry, but there is a mistake. This score was composed by Michel Michelet not by Giovanni Fusco.

Please, be careful with this kind of details. The orchestrator and conductor was Carlo Savina.
Javi, you’re right. On the credits of the film, Michel Michelet appears as the composer. But in the archives of the C.A.M., where the masters are conserved, Fusco is listed as the author of this soundtrack. The explanation may be that the co-productions of that time had to benefit from participation terms by both countries and the credits did not always correspond to reality. This film was a coproduction between Italy and France, and Michelet represented the French participation.
Anyway, the record publisher, Digitmovies, wrote this note on its website: “[…] the artistic work was carried out by keeping to us strictly to what was reported in the Sugar database, formerly C.A.M. It appears that Maestro Giovanni Fusco wrote the music score, orchestrated and conducted by Carlo Savina as is attested in the original contracts and in the worksheets of the soundtrack recorded in 1957. What happened at the film production/distribuction level we can not know. One can make all the hypotheses of the world, but any plausible explanation is lost in the past, well sixty one years ago. Althoug the name of Michel Michelet appears in the opening credits, the database reports everything to the Maestro Giovanni Fusco”.

Could you quote where to find the C.A.M? Normally we use imdb or filmaffinity about information of the movies and, according your explanation, it seems interesting.

La C.A.M. (Creazioni Artistiche Musicali) fue un importante sello discográfico italiano creado en Italia a finales de los años cincuenta y dedicado principalmente a la música de cine. Aparte de sacar al mercado sus propios discos, poseía en su catálogo un gran parte de las bandas sonoras de la época, tanto de Italia como de los países vecinos Francia o España. Incluso llegó a contar con un archivo o biblioteca musical que fue utilizado en algunas películas de los años setenta, sin especificar siquiera quién era el compositor. Algunos de los compositores más importantes (Rota, Morricone, Sarde, Piccioni, Ortolani…) figuran en su catálogo, uno de los más voluminosos en lo que a música de cine se refiere, enriquecido gracias a la gestión de los derechos de autor de todos sus títulos. Desde hace varios años la empresa pasó a ser propiedad del grupo Sugar. Y en la actualidad editan bandas sonoras con distintos sellos discográficos europeos (Digitmovies, Beat, Saimel, Quartet, Music-Box…).
No existe ninguna base de datos on line de su catálogo, por lo que lamentándolo mucho, tendrás que seguir recurriendo al IMDb y Filmaffinity, que siguen siendo bastante fiables, a pesar de sus deficiencias.

Hola Muchas gracias por la información. En lo que concierne a la ficha de la película en sí, entiendo que lo oficial son los créditos, aunque en la práctica la composición fuera realizada por otro compositor.
En películas de otros países hemos encontrado casos en los que el Director Musical figura como compositor o el orquestador.
La idea es ser lo más exactos y veraces posibles con la información. Tal vez merezca una nota aclaratoria.
