CD1 1. Spectral Shimmers, for orchestra (Live) (11:03) 2. Titanic, for orchestra (30:15) 3. A Forest Passage, for orchestra (Live) (9:58) 4. The Horsemen, for orchestra (16:10)
CD2 1. Pas de Deux, double concerto for violin, cello and orchestra (27:43) 2. Collage, concerto for four horns and orchestra (21:57) 3. First in Flight, for orchestra (15:22) 4. Bonus Track: James Horner Tribute (featuring Sara Horner & Emily Horner) (19:18)
Other than the live performances, of which no other recordings currently exist which is why they’re labelled as (Live), what issues do you have with the quality?
Hi RKO – I’m sure He Man meant no offence, it’s just that the quality is bootleg mp3 quality, which suggests it’s a rip taken from the YouTube live feed, rather than any kind of official release.
That’s correct, Soundtrackman. I thank RKO for the release (as he says, none otherwise exist at present) and its an important one for this reason. I was just noting that the quality isn’t brilliant, as anyone with a decent pair of ears will be able to tell. If you don’t like me pointing it out RKO, well – sorry, but…
So you’re only critique is the live recordings. That’s fine. Live recordings have their own charm and, again, in this case no other recordings exist for the time being. There two plus hours of other music for you to enjoy. I eagerly look forward to your next complaint for music you don’t pay for. 😉
RKO – not sure if that was aimed at me, if so, I wasn’t complaining. The sound quality isn’t great: it’s an mp3 bootleg of a YouTube livestream, so I don’t think anyone is going to go into raptures over mp3 bootleg music “we don’t pay for” just because it’s free. Collage and the Pas de Deux recordings are available on CD, so that’s covered, and maybe James Horner Film Music will release an official CD of the Spectral Shimmers concert. Until then, there’s this mp3 to listen to if one wishes to, or one could watch the same concert on a licensed YouTube channel.
Of over two and a half hours, again, only two of the recordings are from live performances. Yes, they are of lower quality due to their live nature. No one is hiding that. That’s why they’re listed as (Live). They have yet to be performed or recorded in a closed environment and, for the moment, exist only as live performances in this format. There are just over two hours of music remaining of very high quality in mp3 format. Enjoy? Lol.

Whoa… I oughta hear this. Thanks!
An important release (bootleg, I presume?). Have to say though that the quality isn’t brilliant.
