Thank you so The Horror Void! Cheers
You’re most welcome! Hope you enjoy my rendition of the score.
This is amazing. I can tell you put a lot of work and passion into this project. It must’ve taken a long time figuring out which pieces of music were used and editing them together as they appear in the film. I wish there was an official complete soundtrack with all the music from Ottman and Beltrami. There are a few pieces of Ottman’s music in the film that aren’t on the album he released, like the part at the beginning when John Tate gets Laurie’s pills. The music that plays there isn’t on Ottman’s album, although it’s almost identical to part of the track called “Laurie.” I’m tempted to rip some of the music from the movie even though it has dialogue and sound effects over it. I used to think the music that plays when Laurie drives into town for lunch was from Scream, but I think Beltrami composed it for H20 and it just sounds very similar to his Scream music. One piece of music I think you might’ve missed is heard right after John gets Laurie’s pills. During the shot that shows the trees and text that says “Summer Glen, California,” the music that plays here is from the beginning of the “Laurie” track on Ottman’s album. Not a big deal, just wanted to point that out. Anyway, this is just a fantastic soundtrack you put together! Thanks so much for sharing!
Hey Bobby,
thank you for your kind words. The track missing is what I was trying to fix, but the Laurie theme does not contain all of the music that were used in that scene (there’s a few bits missing). I even tried to rip the audio from the stems, but each channel contained SFX. Hopefully some day they will release a complete score, though! I never understood why they never released the cue that plays when Michael is lay on the table. Such a gothic take on the theme and a missed opportunity to not release it.
Thank you very much! I was collecting Halloween soundtracks a few weeks ago (and enjoying while I read Halloween movie novelizations) and definitely noticed this one’s absence. Very much appreciated.
Enjoy!
MPAUL – John Ottman’s album, ‘PORTRAIT OF TERROR’, is the entire score for H20.
Thanks for this compilation, The Horror Void!
No problem!
Wow! This is great!
Thank you, Horror Void. 🙂
Thank you!
This is great. Did you combine these tracks for self? I’ve never found a release that contains the Beltrami/Ottman combined tracks.
Yes. I used lossless audio codecs from various albums and then carefully combined tracks for a decent listening experience. I’m very happy with the outcome.
Estava atrás dessa trilha, faz tempo …. Obrigado ADM
