He Man conseillait plutôt cette version des musiques de BOND, dirigées par Carl DAVIS. Je me suis donc précipité sur cet album. Tous les goûts sont dans la nature, et cela se vérifie une fois de plus. Eneffet, j’ai préféré l’album “BOND 25” pour ma part.
Cette version dirigée par carl DAVIS se veut plus “punchy”, avec batterie et de nouveaux arrangements, qui ne m’ont pas satisfaits du tout.. Nous nous éloignons des oeuvres originales. Et certains choix sont catastrophiques (la trompette sur “Moonraker”, “The living daylights” complètement à côté, et j’en passe). Le meilleur reste le dernier morceau “the James Bond Theme”, sans nouvel arrangement heureusement, mais avec un thème principal à la tropette tout de même trop en retrait et mal interprété, désolé. Quant à Carl DAVIS, impossible de savoir qu’il dirige un orchestre philarmonique !!! Non, cela donne une envie immédiate : réécouter les versions originales !
