An other great score of Jerry GOLDSMITH, with a wonderful main theme.
GOLDSMITH will have been faithful to the western throughout his career, a musical genre that he modernized (after the era of TIOMKIN, STEINER, YOUNG and others), just like Elmer BERNSTEIN did in another equally brilliant way.
It is a pity that John WILLIAMS did not write more for the western ( The Cow-boys, The Reivers, Missouri Breaks are brilliant).
