However the score is Danny Elfman’s newest scores level. This score has none of the magic of the first movie’s score. Everything in this score sounds devoid of anything avatar-ish that made the first score so perfect. The only good parts in this score were reused tracks or motifs from the first movie. This score only gives the impression of being a good Avatar score by using the sound effects used in the first movie’s score.
Disappointing!
Simon Franglen will releasing an expanded version of this album with 32 tracks.
The album will be “Avatar: The Way of Water (Original Score)”, coming December 20.
