Yes sadly this is quite mediocre and not up to the standards of the earlier films in particular. The best bit is when he’s repeating Goldsmith’s Nostomo theme. I’ve heard good things about the film and maybe this music fits the movie well, but in isolation it’s not very interesting.
Awesome score…….It had a bit of the “romantic” tone Goldsmith used for the “human” half of the score…..for the “alien” half he went more into an eerie sound, rather than the bizarre sounds Goldsmith went for…..overall the score worked very well.
