The German soundtrack of Capatin Future is much better than the original.
Yeah, right. And “Shogun Assassin” is better than “Baby Cart”.
Nonsense.
To admin : thank you very much for this gem.
Oh Please Re-up ! Thanks !
So Cool !! Thank You for all these wonderful soundtracks !!
thx 4 the double CD!
The difference between the Japanese and German soundtrack is the different decade: The anime was finished in 1978 and the Japanese OST is also very ’70ies funky. First shown in Germany 1980 (only 40 of 52 episodes), the German soundtrack by Christian Bruhn is very much on the up-to-date 1980ies-sound, and very well made indeed, but certainly – different
I also would like to hear the german soundtrack. Please…

I think the German soundtrack is very 70s, i.e. Electric Light Orchestra like. The Japanese is jazzy. The whole feel of the Japanese series is different because of this, it’s all ironic, the German feels serious. They cut many of the paintings, also Curtis’ family background story. In some episodes they cut important developments and quests, then Simon simply performs some miracle, so to speak, to solve the problem. But still, I prefer watching the German ones. In the Japanese series you constantly think: “Yeah, there’s the American super hero with his gay manners and what a joke HE is.” (It’s intended. In the episode with the Black Planet they poke some overt fun at America with that guy wearing a bow tie next to Mao and Hitler.)
I like the funky, jazzy JP version, but Christian Bruhn’s version has it’s own, more sci-fi-like appeal, not at least a nostalgic value to those who watched the cartoon as kids. Can be found here, compact or extended:
