The 1980s mark the height of pop-culture, the output of movie- and music-variety is overwhelming. 1986 is one particulary superb year for movie and music. Pretty in Pink fits in perfectly, delivering not a mastepiece but still an iconic film in the long list of high school movies with a soundtrack that avoided ultimate pop-hits, but provided a quite solid score.
