I’ve listened to this on YouTube… It’s more melodic than his “Godzilla vs Kong” title theme, but the jury’s out on Junkie XL’s callback to his lazy and lacklustre Godzilla leitmotif created for that movie. Hopefully the rest of the score demonstrates a maturation and moderation in his ideas… My ears (the world’s biggest bass drum, not withstanding), couldn’t take the incessant bombast of the last half of “GvK”‘s soundtrack. Some of the stuff worked opposite the visuals and sound effects, but that same stuff was nothing but irritating when heard as stand alone recordings.
