Again thank you so DON! Cheers
Thank you very much Admin and DON for the share.
Gracias por compartirla.
Thank you very much, Don and Admin !
The lifeforce theme by MANCINI is wonderful !!!
Thank you, admins! And thank you, Don! You’re a madman! I’ve been waiting for this!
I should tell you that there is very little difference ‘tween this latest all Mancini issue and the previous Mancini/Kamen issue. The real difference is in the matter in which files were compiled together. If you haven’t the earlier version, then I suggest you do. Everything found on the latest issue which is not classified as bonus can also be found in the earlier issue.
Tracks 1-22 from CD 1 and tracks 1-3 from CD 2 of the earlier version is pretty much the same as the tracks 1-24 from CD 1 of the latest issue and tracks 1 and 2 from CD 2. The difference is in the arrangements of various tracks.
So, are you disappointed with your purchase ?
To be honest. Yes, I am a bit disappointed. In the end, both issues have the very same final times. I have a NCH wavepad editor. With it I can load files extracted by my media player and compare files. For example, Feeding Time (With Strum) on the 2022 issue is also Feeding Time and Wild Woman from the 2006 issue. In realtime, the only difference between the two issues are the bonus tracks. And the added Kamen scores on the 2006 issue. My disappointment is in the bonus tracks, which I find were merely space fillers. And if anyone should want to burn a cd for use in the car or home stereo.computer, it can be done but there again a sound editor in a necessity as the speed of each track requires a 1% speed increase.
yes, indeed, it’s all a technique …. But it is true that the publishers currently sort of editions in the name of the Holy Grail, fill in what he finds “in general, everything and anyone what ” and resells it to you with a good added value every 2 years. in this way, they make you checkout on the same title several times in a row, without really bringing any improvement to the initial title and it is even sometimes even worse, because they drown the score with news tracks that spoil the whole… We can already consider ourselves lucky, when he manages to do a complete remastering and bring something joyful… Thank you all the same for sharing. ..

What do you mean by that, Don?
Go on the net and do a search for NCH (wavpad editor). You can edit individual music files. Cut excess silence, edit sound in parts of whole. There are some music files where there is a low volume. Since the score is specifically performed for film scenes the volume quite often softens in various parts of the music. Music is recorded at a predetermined speed, depending on the scene in which the track is first composed then recorded. The wavpad allows its user to increase or decrease the auto speed. More often than not, this a feature which allows two ways in shortening or lengthening a song track. By increasing the speed by 1%, and the normal speed is 100%, that 1% reduces the length of a song for fractions of 1 second or seconds, depending upon the time of the song file itself.
By the length of the file by increasing 1%, files from both double disc Lifeforce scores can be burnt onto a single disc rather than ending up with 2 discs with half or less than half of the recording time.
By the precious issue, do you mean the BSX version?
Yes, the 2006 BSX issue.
Thanks Admin and DON !
Thank you very much admin . great sharing, thank you very much Don !
Big thanks DON and to this amazing website and the peeps that run it 🙂
Track 14 is missing (on the FLAC at least).
Thank you Don!
OK, I checked – Track 14 is missing on both the flac and mp3 versions.
Sorry, I should have specified: track 14 on disc 2 is missing.
The tracks that apparently is missing is titled “Feeding Time (Without Strum. That my friend is the same file listed under the 2006 BSX version by the title “Feeding Time”. I apologize and cannot explain how that file was missed, except to say that I may have highlighted a set of files, somehow missing that track.
Will compare this to the extended version.
Cheers (+DON)

Thank you, Admin!
I just completed a comparison of 2006 files versus 2022 files. The files consist of both from CD 1 and 1, 2 and 3 from 2006 CD 2, and 1 and 2 from 2022 CD 2. The files are essentially the same but one track from the 2006 version was not found in the 2022 version using the files identified above. The title, Drained.
Gracias por compartirla.
track 8 Feeding Time (2 Versions 2006/2022 from DON) – https://hotlink.cc/XMM56KX6JIP7/Feeding_Time.zip.html
Thank you very much admin.
Of the two tracks titled Feeding Time, one is the original 2022 Intrada file and the other is a mix from the 2006 issue of Feeding Time and Wild Woman. I am curious as to who can identify which is the homemade remix and which is the Intrada remix.
I just listened to your two files, for me it’s the ear that counts. I listen to the music at home on a material that you may not know if you are American or other …. It is a pair of speakers signed Jean Marie Reynaud “Cantabile MKIII” associated with a Nagra amps, all controlled by an audiophile PC. the results that I obtain with this material are always of very high audiophile standards and allow me to detect the smallest details of a recording. I would tell you that on one of the two files, there is some remastering work, but it is negligible…maybe a slight improvement linked to the dynamics of the whole, which makes certain passages clearer on certain timbres of the instruments “like the flight of violins” but it is barely perceptible. I will have to try with headphones, but if I do not perceive anything particular on the rendering of the speakers, in general, it is not worth insisting….
a great composer!
