I had to look up what this was. It’s a making-of (sort of) documentary that sounds really interesting. Then I realize I already own it because it’s on the Criterion blu-ray. Oy I need to pay better attention.
By any chance, can you find at home the excellent composition that Ennio Morricone wrote on the silent film restored in 1992 “la signora de la camelie” “negrini 1915” I do not know if this composition by the Italian Maestro was a day released on CD or LP ….. To my knowledge no …. I got this excellent music through the restored DVD, but I do not have sufficient computer knowledge to extract this music from the film, pity, very pity … Can you upload this one day? Occasionally ….
Diogene, I hope this helps — I don’t see a CD or LP release for this Morricone score. But you could download the audio from that youtube video using this website –> keepv.id
I have the restored DVD with Morricone’s score continuously throughout the movie “It’s a silent movie”. My problem lies in extracting the audio …. I would probably decide to entrust this work to a computer scientist when I have a little more time …. I will post it here, it will be very interesting for fans of the Maestro, the sound format should be output in wav, unless I’m wrong ….
Diogene ……Thanks for the information regarding this silent movie and it’s amazing soundtrack which I was totally unaware of. Good luck with your efforts in getting the soundtrack extracted…..and hopefully getting it uploaded on to this site….. that would be fantastic. It does seem to end rather abruptly on youtube…………still great to hear this amazing music. Many thanks.
Hi Ennemore, I would not miss it …. It seems that the handling is easy, everything seems complicated before it is easy ….. I will post this as soon as I have time to take care of it, unless Admin sticks to it before ….. Yes, Morricone is very inspired on this composition, it is a feast for the ears and a score that finally, few people know “including for absolute fans of Morricone” he has also repeated this exercise on another film dumb whose name I no longer remember and which is also very beautiful. To read you. Regards…….

I searched for an album on discogs.com and couldn’t find one.
Other than that no, I don’t think there was ever an official release of this score, but you never know! Thanks to you MPAUL ….

Hi Diogene
Composed to accompany AFI’s 1912 film “The Life And Death Of Richard III”.
Recorded at Music Village, Rome, Italy on July 17-19, 1997.
Is this the other film you are referring to?………….another gem from the Maestro Morricone.
From memory, not Ennemore ….. I will tell you that in a short week …..
