CBS News was composed by James Horner in 2006 and NBC News was composed by John Williams in 1985.

This is a great example of the really wide variety of material posted here – Thanks!
The Music of NBC News includes the original four movements of The Mission written for the network including the concert version. It does not include every bumper, ident, intro or extro nor does it include every later adaptation or remix.
It would be interesting to see if there is a collection like this for ABC News or CNN… etc.
There are though the music is not on the level of James Horner or John Williams. You’d have to pay me to pull all that material together into a collection. 😉
